MENTALLY PREPARING FOR EVENTS DURING COVID-19: Episode 178

Depending on where you live, micro-weddings may be the only option in your area. Or… a bash for 400 guests might still be a thing! Not only are the rules all over the place, but a wedding pro’s personal beliefs on whether live events should be taking place during a pandemic certainly make the situation even more difficult. In this week’s episode of the This Week In Weddings podcast, we’re chatting with a wedding planner about her thought process on moving forward with events both before and after testing positive for Covid-19 and her experience sharing the news with others she potentially exposed, including clients just days away from their wedding.

About our guest:

With over 10 years of event industry experience, Molly is as bubbly as she is committed to event planning excellence. Her extensive experience in components ranging from floral design and catering, to AV and live show design have equipped her to produce exceptional parties on behalf of her clients. She has executed five-star events across the United States and in the Caribbean, and worked in conjunction with the White House Chief of Staff.

Believing that luxury and volume can live together, Molly founded Pop Parties in 2015. Her highly-trained team of planners produce over 40 events per year and is now  regarded as one of Texas’ premier planning firms for weddings, social gatherings, and creative corporate events.

In this episode, listeners will hear about:

  • Molly’s background and how she got started in the wedding industry
  • Molly’s perspective on events continuing during Covid prior to testing positive for the virus
  • The worst phone call Molly had to make in her entire career
  • How Molly’s perspective changed after testing positive and potentially exposing clients in the days leading up to their wedding
